Since 2014 I have been a senior lecturer with focus on innovation at Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences. I am co-founder and director of the Startupstube, the university’s startup center. Already in my academic career I had an interest in broadening my horizons and therefore studied business administration and psychology at the University of Innsbruck. I then completed my doctorate at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). In St. Gallen, I did research at the Competence Center for E-Commerce and Omni-Channel Management and studied, among other things, the strategies and tactics retailers use to respond to digitization. In 2010, I founded a web platform that uses open innovation and co-marketing campaigns to bring end customers and companies into dialogue. Successful brands such as Nestlé, eBay and Philips are among the clients. Four years after the startup was founded, I handed over leadership of the business and subsequently sold my shares. Since then, I have coached and supported numerous start-ups and established companies on how to realize their business ideas. I teach at various international universities and am a keynote speaker in Innovation & Startups.
